Merry Tobin, a Maryland realtor, is a long-standing board member at Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. She has been at the helm of many board activities for the past fifteen years, and brings enthusiasm, loyalty and expertise to the board room. Her experience in serving on a number of non-profit boards throughout the community is a plus for CBEC.

In her profession, she is well respected and her leadership qualities bring her many accolades. Presently, she serves as President of the Maryland Realtors; and in the past served in the same position for the Bay Area Association of Realtors. She stays current with trends in her field and is a graduate of the Shore Leadership Academy and Maryland Realtors Leadership Academy. She recently received the prestigious Mary Lou Rosendale Award from the Bay Area Association of Realtors; and in the past was named BAAR Realtor of the Year and received the BAAR Community Service Award several times.

Merry brings her leadership qualities to CBEC by serving as Vice President of CBEC’s board, heads the Fundraising Committee, and for 13 years served as chairperson for the Wet & Wild Auction committee. The Wet & Wild Auction is the major fundraiser in support of CBEC, and requires much time and effort on the part of the committee and chairperson.

Her effort in supporting CBEC is broad-spectrum in that she willingly steps up to any task, whether it is finding financial support, serving on committees, bringing awareness to CBEC through her profession and meeting all requests of her as a board member. Merry Tobin gets the job done…and done well!

She resides in Stevensville with her husband, Pat, and the family pet Lab, Elsie. Merry is busy with helping many community organizations, and CBEC is most appreciative of her as a board member!
