Hands-on environmental education for our youngest crowd!
Scribbly Crawlers classes are open to 2- to 5-year-olds accompanied by an adult.
Each session involves exploration outdoors, educational activities, games or arts and crafts, and a snack. Sessions are held Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:15 am, rain or shine. Everyone should dress for the weather.
You must pre-register for the complete series of 8. Spots are limited. Unregistered walk-ins are allowed only if space and supplies are available.

Class Dates & Topics
Classes are held Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, rain or shine. Everyone should dress for the weather. All sessions include outside nature exploration and making a craft indoors to take home.
Space is limited. Unregistered walk-ins are permitted if space and supplies are available.
- December 4: Oh DEER! Learn about the life cycle of a white-tailed deer and see just how high can a deer jump
- December 11: A Foxy Good Time! Discover how red foxes hunt, move and use their senses in order to survive.
- December 18: What is a Bird? Learn about cardinals, see if we can spot one and make a cardinal craft to take home.
- January 8: Evergreens in Winter – Search for animal homes in deciduous trees.
- January 15: Hibernation or Migration Animal Sorting – Do animals in their winter homes adapt, hibernate or migrate? Learn about how animals survive in winter, go on a nature walk to discover some winter animal homes and make a take-home craft.
- January 22: Winter Scavenger Hunt – preschool students will go on a winter scavenger hunt for animal tracks along with other wintery things! Make your own animal track impressions with playdoh
- February 12: Have a HOOT with Us! Learn about the Great Horned Owl, see a live Great Horned Owl and make an owl craft.
- February 19: Weather: Snow, Ice, Frost, Wind – Learn about winter weather, observe weather changes and make a winter weather craft.
- February 26: Think Spring! The next season is approaching; learn about how animal behavior changes when spring is near.
- Series of all 9 classes: $125 per child for members, $150 per child for non-members
- Single class day-of drop-in rate (space permitting): $20
