Evening Winter Lecture Series

When It’s Too Cold To Enjoy The Outside, Come Inside At CBEC for Critters and Cocktails 2018 Evening Winter Lecture Series

CBEC is excited to announce our plans for another round of Critters and Cocktails in 2018! Critters and Cocktails is a series of entertaining and educational talks on wildlife of the Chesapeake Bay Region, uniquely paired with appetizers and beverages sponsored by local providers. These evening lectures occur in the winter once a month from January–April. Each session occurs in the Education Building at CBEC from 6:30pm–8:00pm. The topics this year include:

  • Snowy Owls and other Winter Migratory Birds Visiting the Bay
  • Coyotes…Friend or Foe?
  • Sharks of the Bay…Who, Where, and Why
  • Bats…Busting Bat Myths

Our food and beverage sponsors include Bridges Restaurant, The Narrows, Fisherman’s Inn, Cascia Vineyards and Winery, Knoxies Table, Blackwater Distilleries, Lyons Distillery and The Winery.

Participants sample wine and beer before listening to the evening presentation.

This winter lecture series from January–April 2018 is due to sell out quickly. Registration will open December 1st, 2017. Pre-registration is required by signing up from this online site: www.bayrestoration.org/speaker-series. Cost per session is $10 for CBEC Members and $15 for Non-Members. Discounts are available for pre-paying for all four sessions!
